+# Welcome to the manual for the 2026 Obsidian Vault!
+
+This new and improved vault is effective August 1st 2026, and contains a lot of improvements over the previous vault. The biggest being Obsidian Bases, a built-in feature of Obsidian that replaces the community plugin Dataview. Another: AI tools to help make keeping notes and tracking thoughts easier. On the personal backend side of things, the biggest change is that this vault has critical folders stored in Git, so it can be edited anywhere and pushed/pulled into other vaults. Configuration changes, plugins, toolkit, and a bunch of other stuff is transferable with Git.
